Two weeks is what guerilla has needed to place more than 2.6 million copies of its new IP, Horizon Zero Dawn. Unlike other occasions, Sony reflected that these numbers are not distributed units and final consumers.
A success that evokes the release of The Last of Us at the time. The Naughty Dog game got to distribute 3.4 million copies in three weeks and I think that in the overall computation it exceeded 7 million units some time ago. Horizon goes on the same line and catapults to Guerrilla Games the same level almost of Naughty Dog (I have exaggerated a bit, but it is evident that they have reached another status with the adventure of Aloy).
I am comforted that Sony has allowed some of their studies out of the line of comfort with Killzone, which personally I think a very discreet brand, to create a new IP with a huge quality. This is the path.
By the way, these sales include sales in digital and physical format.
