Steam has published a Top 100 with games that most were sold through its platform over the past year. This does not want to tell them games that more is downloaded, but that more money entered. It is an important detail if we take into account the variety of prices that can usually be found on Steam. Apart from that, we have to note that the list is not exactly ranked and, unfortunately, are not given data on the income of each game.
What other have done is grouping them titles in four categories: Platinum, gold, silver and bronze. In the maximum category, that of Platinum, we found twelve games you have there above: The Division, not Man completo Sky, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Dark Souls III, Civilization VI, Total War: Warhammer, Rocket League, Fallout 4, DOTA 2, The Witcher III, GTA V and XCOM 2.
In the Golden are games such as Doom, Stardew Valley, Rise of the Tomb Raider or Stellaris, while that of silver we see Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Watch Dogs 2, The Elder Scrolls Online, Planet Coaster, Skyrim or FarCry Primal. In it of bronze, the category more populated, there is a mix interesting of games AAA next to others less known and to is them has cast by there the Steam Controller.
I repeat: is a list with many ifs and buts and conditions, but it is interesting to see what worked and what not for 2016.
