Independent development is full of stories of people who fight against wind and tide to take forward its project. It’s Impact Winter is an of them. The first time that the game was gave to know was through Kickstarter, makes already a couple of years. Then Mojo Games was looking for 95,000 pounds to bring forward adventure of survival and collection of resources in a world that lives in a permanent winter after the shock of a meteorite. The game painted well, but the collection is was very far from it necessary.
Rather than pay is, decided to follow forward and, at the beginning of 2015, the game reappeared in Steam Greenlight with remarkable success. It took only three days to be approved. Since then Mojo Games has significantly improved the visual appearance of the game and has partnered with Bandai Namco to distribute it at the beginning of the coming year.
Yesterday was published a new trailer (you have it there up) and a development diary (below) who explains to us what we can expect from this experience. The character actor, Jacob Solomon, is the leader of a small group of survivors, each one with different skills. Our mission is to explore the remains of the civilisation to collect resources, from food to building materials, with those who try to survive until help arrives.
